Dr. Aaron Shiloh, MD offers Juvederm to the Philadelphia, Bucks County and Montgomery County, PA areas. Juvederm® is a dermal filler which is an injectable treatment administered into fine lines and wrinkles in order to plump and smooth skin from the inside out. They can be used to add volume to lips as well as to enhance shallow facial contours, resulting in skin that looks youthful and replenished. After treatment, many patients report satisfaction and restored confidence in their appearance.
If you’ve been suffering from moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, especially around your nose and mouth, treatment with Juvederm® can help. It can also be used to correct volume loss in the apples of the cheeks. This procedure is safe and effective, and thousands of patients trust it each year to restore their skin to a smooth, youthful appearance.
Before and After Images of Lip Augmentation
Juvederm® is a hyaluronic acid-based gel formula with a smooth consistency. Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body and plays a major role in tissue repair. It also holds in water beneath the skin’s surface, creating the “cushiony” appearance and texture of youthful skin. As the body ages, less hyaluronic acid is produced, resulting in facial lines and wrinkles where the subcutaneous tissue starts to collapse. By injecting Juvederm®, Dr. Shiloh can correct the effects of aging by replenishing the supply of hyaluronic acid in the skin and adding temporary volume.
Injections for the dermal filler are done using a very fine needle, which is inserted directly into the area of the facial crease. The treatment is complete in just a few minutes, and patients sensitive to injection may request a topical anesthetic for comfort. The formula also includes lidocaine, which acts as a local anesthetic for further comfort during and after the procedure.
This treatment is minimally invasive and patients may return to regular activities immediately afterwards. Most patients require only one treatment to see optimal results. Some results can be seen immediately, and will gradually improve over the next couple of weeks. Results typically last for nine months to a year. After one year, patients can return to Shiloh Vein & Aesthetics Institute’s Bucks County office (conveniently located near Philadelphia and Montgomery County, PA) for a follow-up treatment.
